About Department

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is started in the year 2009. It is offering B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with an annual intake of 60. The department has excellent faculty having years of experience in academics & Industry. It has state of art laboratories for the students to explore their knowledge. 

Electricity has become the basic need for survival of human beings globally. From household to industrial plants, communication and satellite navigation system, electronic equipment, computers etc., all require electricity.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is one of the core fields of engineering, always evergreen in terms of scope and job prospects and is multi-disciplinary in nature, representing a veritable synergy of different technologies ranging from Artificial Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, Micro-Controllers, Digital Signal Processing and VLSI Design to core subjects of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of power, Power System Operation & Control, Electrical Machines and Power Electronics and their control using computer methods etc.

In real life Electrical Engineers end up doing a very interesting and wide range of activities. Electrical Engineers are expected to have fantastic time with a rapid employment growth in the coming decade. There is a strong demand for Electrical Engineers in almost all industrial sectors.

Department Library:

Electrical and Electronics Engineering department is equipped with a library apart from the Central Library of the Institution. Department Library comprise of a substantial No. of Volumes, Magazines and Reference Books for ready reference to its Staff and Students. Rich collection of books on recent technologies makes the student improve his technical skills. CD's and DVD's of NPTEL lectures are also available in the department library facilitating quick learning for students.

PPROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO’s)

PEO-1: To enable the students learn the fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics Engineering very conceptually so that they can continuously update themselves in the context of growing technology

PEO-2: To make the program rich in core subjects so that the graduates in Electrical and Electronics Engineering can fit themselves in any relevant industry (or) pursue higher learning

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (PO’s):

PO1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences

PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problem and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations. 

PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions

PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations

PO6: The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS

  • The college offers many opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities. Within the department there are student-run organizations which you can get involved in. Student organizations are a very important part of the college experience. They encourage teamwork, leadership, improved organizational skills and creativity, while cultivating professional interests.
  • IE(I) Students' Chapters has been established in Department of EEE in 2015. From then this Chapter has taken the lead role in conducting the co-curricular and extracurricular activities in this college.
  • “IE(I) Vision is to enable practice of ethical ethos and pursuits of professional excellence for engineering fraternity to serve the humanity through inclusive growth” The Institution of Engineers (India) IE(I), was established in 1920 and was sanctioned the Royal Charter in 1935, laying down the principal role of the to be of a learned society promoting the advancement of the science and practice in different fields of engineering.
