· Length
Newsletters are typically a few pages long, while magazines are usually longer.
· Audience
Newsletters are intended for a limited audience, while magazines are written for a wider audience.
· Visuals
Newsletters are mostly text, with very few photos, while magazines usually have a photographic cover and include graphics and illustrations.
· Binding
Newsletters are typically no longer than 12-24 pages and have different binding techniques, while magazines use saddle stitching or perfect binding, depending on the number of pages.
· Distribution
Newsletters are best distributed as subscriptions, while magazines are heavily supported by advertisements.
· Delivery
Both newsletters and magazines can be delivered physically or electronically.
