  • Electronics and Communication Engineering students admitted during A.Y. 2023 (R-23).
  • To discuss about the curriculum and syllabus offered by – Electronics and Communication
  • Engineering to other departments.
  • Training/Skill Development Programs proposed for Department of – Electronics and
  • Communication Engineering
  • Minor changes in the syllabus will be done at the level of department by the department

The Chairman of the 4th Board of Studies (BoS), extended a warm welcome to the members present at the venue and connected through online then started the presentation by briefing about the institution and the given agenda was discussed with the members.

Agenda Point- I

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 To discuss about the curriculum and syllabus of II Year, I semester, Electronics and Communication     Engineering students admitted during A.Y. 2023 (R-23).

The chairman exhibited to all the members the course structure recommended for the II year I semester and II semester. The syllabus of the following courses which will be handled by the department has been reviewed.

1.     Probability theory and stochastic process

2.     Signals and Systems

3.     Electronic Devices and Circuits

4.     Switching Theory and Logic Design

5.     Electronic Devices and Circuits Lab

6.     Switching Theory and Logic Design Lab

· The members suggested to re organize the contents of PTSP, S&S and EDC.

·     Some of the contents in PTSP are repeated in S&S.

·     Some of the contents of S&S will be incorporated in the forth coming Analog and Digital Communications.

·     Some of the contents of EDC are repeated in Engineering Physics.

· Members recommended other contents to be incorporated in place of excluded contents. Based on the above suggestions the contents of the courses are modified.

 

 

 

 

 

· To discuss about the curriculum and syllabus of II Year, II semester, Electronics and Communication          Engineering students admitted during A.Y. 2023 (R-23).

The syllabus of the following courses has been discussed.

1.     Electromagnetic Waves and Transmission Lines.

2.     Electronic Circuit Analysis.

3.     Analog Communications.

4.     Signals and Systems Lab.

5.     Electronic Circuit Analysis lab.

All the members observed the contents of the above courses and expressed their satisfactions for all the theory courses.

Members suggested to arrange the experiments related to Analog communications in the Signals and systems. They further suggested conducting special theory classes to revise the S&S before conducting the lab.

 

Agenda Point- II

 To discuss about the curriculum and syllabus offered by – Electronics and Communication Engineering           to                             other departments.

· The members have seen the contents of the following courses which and expressed their satisfaction.

1.   Digital logic and Computer organization.

2.   Analog Circuits.

The above courses will be offered by ECE department to other departments

Agenda Point- III

 Training/Skill Development Programs proposed for Department of – Electronics and Communication Engineering.

 The members agreed to offer the Training/Skill Development Programs proposed by APSSDC like organizations for the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

Agenda Point- IV

 Minor changes in the syllabus will be done at the level of department by the department Committee members.

 The members agreed for Minor changes in the syllabus further of the courses will be done at the level of department by the department Committee members.

Agenda Point- V

 Department   Advisory Committee (DAC) and Program Assessment Committee (PAC).

· The members agreed and suggested to maintain Department Advisory Committee (DAC) and Program Assessment Committee

(PAC).

Agenda Point- VI

Any     other     items    with    the permission of chair

· The internal (assignments and mid examinations) and external evaluations (semester end examination) will be followed

as discussed with the members.
